Both mangas are set in the 19th century, they both provide a lot of information about their setting, 1850s/1860s Central Asia for A Bride's Story and 1878 Japan/France for Nyx no Lantern.

Both mangas are set in the 19th century and in Japan (partially at least for Nyx no Lantern). They happen in the same year, 1878.
