One day, a super-average second-year high school student who wants a girlfriend, Aoshima, suddenly awakens to the ability to time slip. Ten years in the future, he is—gasp—married to the cutest girl in school, Wagatsuma-san! In the present, they are only classmates, so how in the world does he end up with the unobtainable Wagatsuma-san?!
I'm really surprised that I'm the first person here to write a review on this. I absolutely loved this manga, and for something that I originally started reading on a whim to make the most out of what I'm paying for Crunchyroll premium, I absolutely loved it. It's hilarious and touching and so easy to get into, and the characters are some of the best I've come across - so relatable and funny that I loved almost every one of them right from the beginning. The plot is almost perfect: easy to follow, interesting, with never a dull moment. It's full of twists and turns and nothing like your typical romance. It feels as if you're constantly rooting for the protagonist and his friends which was something that I really enjoyed. It's a very sweet story, although I must admit the ending seemed a bit rushed, which took me by surprise considering the high quality of the rest. If it wasn't for the rushed ending then I'm pretty sure I would have given this 9/10 because it's just so damn good and addictive. I don't think I've ever seen characters as interesting and yet somehow relatable as the ones in this manga. They're realistic and entertaining, and much like a lot of people I've met in real life, which was honestly what really got me into this series because it reminds me so much of myself and the people I know. It's a slightly different approach having the main cast centred around the ones who are considered the "losers" rather than your average bunch of popular kids who get everything they want. Everybody is developed extremely well, especially our protagonist who, in my opinion, is a lot more interesting than most of the main male leads in manga and their anime adaptations. With regards to the characters and plot, this whole thing is like a soap opera - seriously - except way better and far more interesting. It's beautifully drawn in my opinion - in fact, it's some of the best manga art I've ever seen, very clear and pretty. No two characters are alike in appearance and this, for me, is quite a refreshing take considering the amount of manga and anime I've read/watched with characters that look practically the same. And oh my god, can I just say that some of the facial expressions in this series are seriously hilarious. Like, forget about the other funny moments, the way their faces are drawn sometimes is just SO funny and I absolutely love it. This is getting an 8/10 from me. Totally worth reading if you want a laugh and some good feels and a plot that's always taking intriguing twists and turns. I'm honestly looking forward to if and when this manga is adapted into an anime because it totally deserves it. It's really underrated and needs way more credit.
