My Summer of You

Chiharu Saeki and Wataru Toda are two high school students who share a common hobby: They love to watch movies. After they meet, they become fast friends, until one day, when Chiharu confesses his love for Wataru. Wataru says that Chiharu's confession doesn't bother him, and the boys continue throughout their summer, going to pilgrimages to see film spots from their favorite movies. But the more time he spends with Chiharu, Wataru realizes he may not only be as unaffected by Chiharu's confession as he claimed to be, but those feels may also be mutual.

Look, I can be pretty generous with my 5 star ratings cause I like to show as much love as possible to a story that makes me smile but! I had to leave an actual review on this one because ... The story is just so so so sweet. Made me cry twice, and was a very heart warming experience over all. Would definitely reccommend this one if you want to read a real love story!OH ALSO! There is a continuation of this work called "Kimi to Natsu no Naka" so make sure you look that up if you enjoy this part! I'm glad I saw it in another comment elsewhere, I would be sad to have missed out on it!

This is super cute and pure. Saeki is super respectful, he doesn't expect anything from the other when confessing, he just wanted to take that out of his chest and was satisfied and happy with them being able to continue to be friends. Even after they start dating, he is super respectful, knows what a 'no' is (or even when the other doesn't say no, he reads Wataru's facial expressions and stops if he sees he's uncomfortable). He only advanced further when Wataru clearly gave him green light (that's on the sequel btw). He also never pressured him to do anything. That's one of the reasons I loved this story, the other being that it doesn't feel rushed at all. Wataru doesn't suddenly fall in love with Saeki after he confessed to him, he started paying more attention to details and fell in love slowly, always analyzing his feelings along the way and slowly realizing that he also felt more than friendship. They are so sweet, if you want something pure that will melt your heart this is totally it. It's so beautiful it becomes painful sometimes.

Absolutely beautiful so pure heartwarming realy made my heart throb and made me cry ugh! It so good why can't this be longer??? If it was short it was so touching the romance felt so real heartwarming i can't describe it! I hope i will have a relationship like this it so pure!! God i truly need a anime for this! If not a coloured manga version i think it would be truely beautiful just loved it!! ❤❤❤😘😘😘😘😘😘😭😭😭😭
