I think what's even more disturbing than the rape (which is disturbing) is the way that some of the people in the comments (on another website) try to justify the rape by saying that Zi Pei actually wanted it but is just overly passive and not able to properly express femself--showing that there're real-life people who clearly struggle with understanding consent (which I guess is something that we all know already, but just sucks to see so blatantly). The author also seems to struggle with understanding consent and is portraying this forcefulness as just another type of relationship dynamic. In addition to pushing Zi Pei beyond the limits of what fe is comfortable with sexually, Xu Nuo is also verbally abusive--calling Zi Pei a "piece of trash" and interacting with fem in a threatening type of demeanor. This entire relationship dynamic--of one person being treated like a child who can't make feir own decisions and the other person feeling that it's necessary to force things--just feels dysfunctional and unhealthy (for both people involved, honestly). Zi Pei is even portrayed as scared and paranoid of feir girlfriend. I genuinely can't see this as very romantic (and with the way it ended, I'm pretty sure the author intended for it to be romantic). As for the art, it has some okay moments that can be kinda cute. But it also can be overly simplistic and sloppy. There are boxy outlines. The irises aren't centered quite right in the eyes, so the characters look like they have lazy eyes and/or are just vacantly staring into space. There's minimal effort put into the backgrounds.

I don't recommend this one. It was cute...but the author plays really loose with consent and boundaries and it feels really uncomfortable for most of the chapters. A couple chapters they make jokes about it, but honestly the whole thing made me uncomfy. Partner 1 completely ignores the boundaries of Partner 2, then 2 ignores her own boundaries when given the cold shoulder by 1. Nothing about that is healthy or okay.
