A recurring theme of this manga is the feeling of validation that comes from having people accept you for who you are, regardless of how non-traditional your interests are. Gojou Wakana had always felt self-conscious about and hid his interest in making dolls. But when Kitagawa Marin learns about his secret, she's more interested in asking him to help her make cosplay costumes than judging him for liking dolls even though he's a boy. He genuinely respects her and wants to help her. So together, they go on a journey to make Marin's dream come true--to turn her into that character from the ero-game that she loves through the power of cosplay! Chapter 16 is a turning point in the manga and I'm not sure I like the direction the manga is heading. It starts becoming more harem-y as well as presenting itself more like a how-to guide on various cosplay techniques than a proper story. [Reviewed at chapter 29]
