When her mom goes missing, three-year-old Lotilucia stumbles on a magic crest that transports her to the estate of House Frodium, one of the empire’s most powerful noble families. Little Lottie immediately recognizes Duke Damian Frodium as her dad; he is the so-called “Monster Duke” of demon descent. Once taken into the house, Lottie does her best to stay out of his way. But then she stumbles on a magic book that shows her a story about Duke Frodium’s adopted daughter replacing his dead daughter named Lotilucia! Lottie is shocked but also emboldened by the prophetic tale. If she is meant to die anyway, she might as well be her cheeky self and do as she pleases! This new Lottie wins over her demon dad along with his staff, but will she manage to stay alive and thrive as the Monster Duke’s daughter?
I'll start this by saying that since making this review up to chapter 12, I've decided to drop this title. Now, my reasoning: • The story was too repetitive and lack luster • I kept struggling to continue reading past ch 5 • The mc acts like a child, but still remembers the content of the "main story"-- it feels like it could work better with a time rewind rather than a reborn situation • The themes are heavily used in this genre, so you need to make them unique. I did not feel like this was a unique story because it felt genetic to me Will I return to this? Probably not. That is not to say that it is a bad title in of itself, but that it isn't "my" type of story.
I personally enjoy stories like this where the parent (or other form of family) and child meet for the first time or are reunited after sometime; so naturally I was drawn to this manhwa. When I started this story is was really great, and interesting, with a little twist to it. But as the story goes on it starting to drag on a bit. The art is really nice, and the FL looks adorable; she looks like a doll! Also for the most part, all the characters are great. Overall it’s a good story, and I would recommend it. But idk, I don't have any intention to drop it, but if the story keeps lagging, I might.
