Historical setting involving a proper young Japanese girl who ends up in a living situation with an older guy. Meiji Hiiiro Kitan is set in Japan whereas Ikoku Meiro is set in Paris, but both explore themes of finding their place in the world by the company of an older guy who took them in.

They're both so very sweet <3

Both by the same author so similar vibes. About a young girl torn between the guy who found her vs the guy she found. The guy who saved her the the guy she can't bear to leave alone.

Derashine wo Dori

Derashine wo Dori

The time is the Sengoku era when you won't know tomorrow. There was a baby boy abandoned in a temple. The baby named “Kei” was just like a boy, but was certainly “nobody”. It was very slowly growing as if it were living at a different time from the flow of human life. To go out of the temple, I had lost my purpose of living just to wait in this temple for the immature body to decay.
