In the beginning this series doesn’t make particularly strong impression. It seems just as one of many slice-of-life building dungeon isekai series. The main character Yuki reincarnates as ruler of fresh new dungeon. He meets powerful dragon Leficios and convinces her to not kill him in exchange for treating her to some chocolate and he offers to her steady supply of sweets from our world as well. The dragon turns into humanoid form and starts to live with the MC. The beginning of this relationship starts more in typical manner of friendship between providing character and freeloader. I wasn’t much invested at that point. The beginning seems bit underwhelming, despite the fact it isn’t bad at all.

The story isn’t just slice-of-life even if it has such occasional moments. It has action. Heads and limbs are flying kind of overpower action. It isn’t as boring as dull as it seemed in the beginning. Even If the MC’s goal is to live peacefully in his new home with his new family. However, when a threat to that peaceful life appears he is able to use deadly force to eliminate it, if necessary. What was unexpected, but become the best part of series is relationship between Leficios and Yuki. It evolves from friendship to romantic one [1]. This series is tagged as harem. It does have elements of it. Several females are romantically interested in MC, but there is the one chosen girl. As mentioned, this is not the type where no changes in relationship occur.

Mainly the story has some common tropes and twists such as evil slavers for an example. One of the interests MC picks is crafting. There is that elements as well.

Visually the art is good. I don’t see this as to top tier art. It lacks that extra level of details and creativity. Facial expressions are good. Buildings, trees and nature are really good looking in this series. There is almost no nudity. Except for bath scenes, but no nipples and such.

Overall. I do enjoy this manga more than expected. What seem initially as three or four out of ten series is actually way better. It has some nice wholesome and romantic moments. Action isn’t bad either. I like Yuki isn’t no-progress with women at all type of protagonist. If you like isekai fantasy it’s worth checking out imho.

This review is written after reading 8 volumes (all existing at the time) equivalent to 56 chapters.

Japanese difficulty 5/10 (see my profile for details about various difficulty scores)

The series is shounen with furigana except as typical for the genre not on character sheets. Text volume is slightly above average. Text density is mostly average. The series uses fantasy and RPG terminology.

You rarely find this type of manga these days with an interesting MC, a good cast (although a bit cliche) and overall nice setting. It's very character focused so the story can feel like a fantasy slice of life but that's what makes it awesome. If the mc was your typical Japanese MC or the characters were annoying it would be boring. Luckily he's smart and mature, the other cast members are also a good addition and their interaction don't feel forced. It just flows naturally.

God, too many loli's there isn't like a single actual woman in his harem and he just gets bossed around by that dragon, I mean he can easily rule over her with the food

A dime-a-dozen isekai with a pedo MC and distinctly average/cliche themes.  Dungeon building, not-plot-driven wish fulfillment for nerdy bois who like lolis, but nothing of substance.  People will read it, because it's isekai, but it's nothing special and is pretty boring from a narrative perspective.

This one isn't that bad once you're past the fact the romantic interest is literally the thousand year old loli trope and lacks any natural chemistry with the main guy, and the obligatory "weirdly sexual thing with a child that's okay to show because the mc resists being too turned on". The mc has just a terrible design, I mean it's just so terribly generic but then has the complete heterochromia and totally super cool epic shitty little fake ass bat wings that look like they were drawn by someone completely new to drawing wings, but I'm getting numb to it, even the gun. What's more insulting is the dragon, drawn the same way every single dragon kid in high school did it. The story almost promises to be chill and cozy, what with the idea of making a happy little Dungeon and playing a gacha using points you earned with your cute monster friends, but it... Doesn't go that route. It doesn't really go any route. It just... Goes. It seems like I'm just complaining, but this manga is just so genuinely dull (not boring, it's not that bad) that there's nothing else to comment on. The good things aren't good enough to comment on, and the bad isn't enough to drop it, so.... Yeah I don't know it's just one of those manga where things just kind of happen. Not like in a contrived way, but more in that way where you don't remember what's going on because it's the same as every other plot but a little different and it's too much effort to keep track. Someone evil does a thing, main character saves people. Repeat. There's some moments that pop up that are genuinely interesting or funny which is what makes it so hard to drop despite being so generic.
