Both manga have magic and romance, as well as characters that came from  another world where they use magic. In Ultra Maniac the heroine becomes friend with a girl from the magical world while in Mamotte Lollipop the heroine meets two boys from the magical world who end up staying with her to protect her and they become friends.

KazaneHime KazaneHime says...

People that have magic powers coming to the human world seems to be a common theme but both Ultra Maniac and Mamotte! Lollipop do a really good job with showing how the author(s) belive it would be. In both of these amazing manga, romance plays a major part though Mamotte! Lollipop's romance seems a bit more childish than that of Ultra Maniac. I hope you read both of these amazing manga :3

While Sugar Sugar Rune is from the point of view of people that have magic that come to the Human world, Mamotte! Lollipop takes on the perspective of a human that gets wrapped up with people with magic because she accidentally swallowed what they were trying to recover. Both SSR and M!L include people that are taking a type "exam" while in the human world and both include nice amounts of romance though Mamotte! Lollipop focuses a bit more on it.

(((((( SPOLIERS DONT READ UNTIL AFTER READING MAMOTTE! LOLLIPOP))))))))))

You'd like this because in both there young kids, both main males are bestfriends/partners, both like the main girl who's powerless in the begining. In both of the manga's kinda take place at school, both have to do with magic. Romance i'd say is around the same levels. In both theres a girl who's clingy to the boy's. And thats about it I really hope you end up reading this its a good read :)
