They are having the same author and the same feeling when you read it. The drawings are similiar to each other and it is a BL like "At the end of the road". I think the only difference is mad dog is a little bit more brutally because the people are dying.

Similar character relationship dynamic; a dominant, untouchable, crazy character obsessed with the lead who can handle their own.

Both include gang related plot, strong unhinged handsome guys and their need to get the protag to fall in love with them. Similar stories but both very good and unique!

Both have a kind of unhinged ML who is violent and obsessed and protective over the MC, but flirty and loving as well?

Hot boys in love and in gangs. Danger, sexual tension and lots of action wink wink.

Roses and champagne is a lil less dark/yandere adjacent than mad dog but both are intoxicating

Guardians of the Lamb and Mag Dog feel are the straight/BL versions of each other. Seyhuk and Gale might aswell be the same character reincarnated with that attitude and grin haha

Other similarities: Both have a higher status second male lead with a secret, a sweet MC obsessed with being normal, bodyguards, slow-burn romance, a fantastic plotline, and they are both epic (completely unbiased)

Both of these are great stories with a similar character and art-style aesthetic about crime with lots of flirty tension between the main characters.

Mad Dog has some beautiful action scenes (Sehyuks grin deserves an award), and Body of Crime has an excellent psychological element and an intriguing, cat-loving main character who recently came back to the force after several years as an undercover gang member.

If you like fantastic dark BL drama's with a non-romantic/complicated dynamic and a similar subdued, eerie vibe/art-style then you might like this pairing. The personalities and plotlines are quite different, but these are both thoroughly enjoyable reads! Note: Checkmate is darker and more explicit.
