Love Barometer

The story in love barometer is not new but familiar and comforting. The characters are not unique but down to earth and with simple hearts. What makes love barometer one of my favourites is that it's pacing is just right. No long drawn out misundeerstandings, good communication with the leads and simple motivations that come through clearly. It reminds me of cheese in the trap in a more lighthearted and non sophisticated way. The art is unique and I like the detail shots used as well as the quips in the non-bubble sections in the panels that add to the story. The focus on footware (drawn in panels while chaaracters are saying or doing something else rather than talk about them) is used sparingly and is a unique aspect of the mawha that I liked. Overall it looks like a lot of care has been given in the drawings and that, coupled with the unique style, rates this highly. I don't want to talk about the characters too much as I don't want to spoil things but I thought some of the side characters should have been explored more as they were interesting in their own way.  I would recommend this to someone that is starting their journey in romance mahwa with the note that it is not going to blow them away but it is going to leave them with a satisfying feeling of having read something nice.
