OMG WHAT A DISSAPOINTING ENDING MAN, JUST WHY DID IT HAVE TO END THAT WAY?????!! Story had a nice start in introducing the couples backstories but I will add that Janet is a serious badass which is very slim to see her type of character in the Yuri world. I don't want to tell people what happened in the end but again I'm just beyond disappointed. You'll understand why when you get to read it...
Beautiful art and love the character design... but if you've read any amount of GL the story is pretty typical. The setting and character design of Janet are a little unique (not her personality though, that's pretty standard) but pretty much everything else is just typical yuri and even general romance/drama tropes. Nothing new to see here. Everyone is upset about the ending but given the tone of the piece I really didn't expect it to go any other way. Some tropes with examples: Man gets in the way of yuri -> a common trope in GL/BL in general Cold dark girl + bubbly light girl (with baggage) -> Akuma no Riddle, Kannazuki no Miko, Strawberry Panic Tragic End -> Utena, Kannazuki no Miko, Shiroi Heya no Futari (the first yuri ever) Female Assasin -> Akuma no Riddle, Noir Anyway, despite it being kind of predictable... I did enjoy it. Mostly due to the art and stylistic choices of the artist.
It's about a girl that wanted to be loved and an assasin that it's doing her job. This is a tragic story with beautiful art. It's really short so it's worth reading.
