Komi-san wa Komyushou desu. (Pilot) - Reviews

It's alright. It's got that potential that ends up leading into the more interesting main series, but it's not quite there yet. It's got the idea of Komi shivering and freezing up like a deer in the headlights and unintentionally glaring at people. And it has the idea of showing feir outer appearance versus feir inner feelings (with the distinction being visually portrayed through feir eyes being drawn differently), but it's still lacking some of the cuteness it ends up getting. Tadano is completely uninteresting in this version and none of the side characters stick out. It's split into eight subsections, which deal with different connected stories of people making assumptions about the reasons for Komi's silence because of seeing fem as pristine and elite and of Komi and Tadano talking without facing each other so fe can practice communicating.
