There's a lot of self-hatred exuding from this manga. Tounosuke, unkempt, sleeps all the time and has a bleak outlook on feir life. Fe wants to die. Feir one bit of happiness comes from feir relationship with Yuuri, a middle-school girl, but fe hates femself for enjoying being with fem. For taking advantage of fem. For rationalizing feir actions by saying fe's the good guy because fe's giving fem respite from feir bad home life. For having sex with fem. For getting off on the fact that fe's young and has some childish aspects. Fe hates femself. Feir inner owl-voice condemns fem, but also says "all men possess some of that grimy, pathetic form in themselves." Fe sees femself as scum for succumbing to that evil side of femself. Fe wants fem to move on and have a normal youth. But at the same time, fe wants Yuuri to continue coming back to fem, to continue loving fem, to continue getting fem off. Fe wants to die.
