Absolutely adore this manga, highly recommend anyone who likes dark fantasy
This slightly obscure manga is what some might call a "mashup" of various other ideas put together into one storyline; they might be right about that. It does have the vibe of Claymore, [apparently] the violence of Berserk, and the worldbuilding of many a grand manga. Even with all that, though it is important to remember - just because it's similar does not mean that it takes from them.
Now that that is out of the way, onto the actual premise. The manga opens with a boy dying in the wasteland; a stranger appears and offers him a choice - follow her and live, or die peacefully there with no regrets. The stranger turns out to be none other than one of the members of the infamous "Arms Peddler" guild (the main supplier of all weaponry in this new world). As the manga goes on, the world gets filled out - the "old world" of the past was destroyed in a great war, and the current time period is some 600 years after this event; monsters, demons, faeries, and the like are also included, making for quite the experience.
The artwork for the series is a bit abstract for the characters, but it is certainly well done. Many of the weaponry (which ranges from pre-WW2 bolt action rifles to modern AK series rifles) are drawn expertly; as are the different towns, cities, and ruins encountered. Certainly superb.
Not enough is truly known about the characters at this point, but this will be updated later.
This is actually pretty good. It's a little bit similar to a post apocalyptic journey which is not a bad thing. The artstyle reminded me of vampire hunter d. This manga clearly captures the feelings of a desolated war torn world which is a very hard thing to do. And the story and worldbuilding of this manga is very immersive. I highly recommend it ♥★♥
