i was looking for something easy to read--where i could mindlessly absorb it--and this short doujinshi certainly provided that. It has a very linear and predictable story arc of two people on the path to becoming lovers. Some people might use the term "wholesome" to describe it, but i'd just call it bland. The romance isn't nearly endearing or adorable enough to make up for the lack of drama. And i didn't appreciate the way the author treated the abusive nature of the work environment, almost implying that it's all okay as long as you have someone there to support you as you're abused. Each chapter culminates in a moment of relational affirmation, where either Chishiro or Kisaki will express how much fe likes and values the other person. Kisaki's hair is colored green, while everything else is black and white. Some of the outlines are spotty and the facial proportions aren't the best. Kisaki's left hand is (i'm pretty sure) always a tree branch, and fe also sometimes has some plant-like qualities coming from feir hair and other arm. Similarly to Kininaru Mori-san, we see an emotionless character's inner feelings being expressed through the plantlife (though this is only done a couple times and isn't the main source of cuteness). The manga tries to be cute, but i personally found it to be only mediocrely cute and, in general, an uninspired work.
