I always wondered why there is such a thing as one shots, especially when the Authors style looks so good. Sadly, this manga doesn’t have enough to it that would make it either realistic or have any depth to the story what so ever. The guy falls in love with a girl just because 2 years ago she helped his little brother who fell with juice stains on his shirt. I heard of love at first sight but this was a little ridiculous. The characters are shallow and yet now that they are a couple, they could probably have much more to it like the girl bully’s could do more things because they are jealous. Then again, the manga is pretty much the same as every romance story out there and for that, I have to give it a really low score for originality. The thing that saves it is the artwork. The art style is really beautiful, very well detailed just as Shoujo is done normally.

[From Emi's perspective]: Those girls must have a shallow relationship with you because they don't know The Drink. I know The Drink. I've also started drinking The Drink. Sometimes The Drink is bitter, but sometimes The Drink is sweet--it all depends on how you treat me. But wait, that girl must be intimate with you because fe's bringing you The Drink! Who is that girl? If I gave you The Drink, would you also smile like that? Do you want to share The Drink with me as we gaze over the shimmering ocean? There's a bit too much internal dialogue, which might not have been a problem if the thoughts didn't feel so pointless. They mainly consist of the main character, Yoshioka Emi, reaffirming feir feelings about Uchida, but in a way that feels like narration more than anything. It's sort of frustrating having the emotions told to me; I want to see the emotions in action. But it's also frustrating seeing the emotions in action, because they end up just feeling corny and mushy. There's also a bit too much of the glimmering effects in the artwork.
