Who needs dialog when you're this cute? The beautiful (but unlucky) Momoko, the cool, collected Shibumi, and the refreshingly innocent Mayumi star in a "silent manga." No speeches, no dialog! Just pictures, sound effects, and three high school girls living their daily lives.
The best and most engaging parts of this episodic, no-dialogue series are the imagination games and artistic expressions using everyday items. But unfortunately, those moments become far less frequent as the series goes on and most of it is more just playfulness and cutesy slice-of-life stuff and ecchiness. There are also some infrequent absurdist gags (like the leg knot in chapter 17). The series primarily follows Momoko and feir two friends as they stop to smell the roses, making little games out of the small things. We also see Momoko's sister in several chapters. And there's a recurring background character, the train guy, who always ends up in situations ogling Momoko. Honestly, I really don't care for all the panty shots and the ecchi shit. It just unnecessarily sexualizes an otherwise sweet and wholesome series (though, again, the majority of the wholesome stuff is pretty boring as well, and it's only really the imagination games and artistic expressions using everyday items which are at all worthwhile). [Reviewed at chapter 91]
What was this? This manga is more of a standard Slice of Life. There is nothing too much, nothing innovative, just high school girls acting like they are in elementary school. Seriously, this type of manga is weird. There is no story, just girls being stupid. A waste of time and life. I don't have much to comment on, as the manga has nothing interesting and relevant: What is this shit?
