This anthology was drawn by various artists, which of course means that there are varying levels of quality between the stories and artwork. Unfortunately, I would rate most of these stories on the bad end of the spectrum. The best story is easily the one about the dullahan girl (chs. 2 & 12). It's absolutely adorable the way the body moves separately from the head in a way that embarrasses the head even further (because it's too straightforward). The chapter about the dog-girl is also pretty cute and wholesome, and the final leash and collar bit at the end was adorbs. It should also be mentioned that chapter 13 is almost certainly an early iteration of Peter Grill and the Philospher's Time (it's by the same author, has the same opening premise, and came out just beforehand). For better reference, here's a list of the various monster girls and the rating I would give each chapter: demon [4/10] dullahan [9/10] ghost [1/10] cat-girl [5/10] mandragora [1//10] cat-girl [1/10] vampire [2/10] cyclops-spider? [3/10] dog-girl [7/10] fox spirit [1/10] leannan sidhe [3/10] dullahan, continuation from chapter two [8/10] ogre [3/10] demon [3/10] vampire, continuation from chapter seven [2/10] succubus? [4/10] dragon homunculus? [5/10]
Short stories abou Monster Girls and Humans and the relationship between them. Sweet and interesting versions of classic monster like vampire, dullahan etc. and some cool unique monsters too like a fuzzy big black ball monster who later gets together with the person she loves. Thoughts: Stories are great and heartwarming. Each chapter is done by a different author/artist so there is a lot of variation, but it's all excellent. Characters are nice, warm and endearing.
