Jimiko to Gyaru - Reviews

If you've read my review on the prequel/original series, then you won't be surprised by my distaste for this doujinshi here. The artwork is ugly and sloppy--with bad proportions, awkward and stilted body movements, copy-and-pasted imagery, bad blushlines, and a general lack of both cuteness and sexiness. There's also a complete absence of plot or character development, which isn't surprising considering that it's just intended to be a busride to Ecch Town. And it's even lacking the shtick from the original series (which was, admittedly, badly implemented), where there was fourth-wall breakage as the author of the comic was interacting with the characters.

Chapters 10 and 11 feel like they're on the verge of having an actual story to their stories, but they were still very underwhelming and half-baked. But, if we wanna be optimists about it, I guess it's a good sign that the latest installments are improvements on the earlier ones (since if that trajectory continues, then eventually the installments may actually be good).
