A story similar to Parasyte, with Frogs this time.
They take over humans and turn them into monsters that represent their deepest desires, making for unique designs and interesting abilities.
The main protagonist is not really likeable, more so relatable (for me at least) due to him not having the most exciting life, putting on a facade and secretly wanting to end it all, which manifests as his ability once he is used as a host by a frog.
He now goes around killing all Humans that have been compromised, in order to reach his goal (which is explained in the first few chapters), meeting other humans with similar conditions to his, falls in love, kills, cries, screams etc.
If you like Parasyte's premise, the artstyle and designs of Gantz, and the themes of being an adult, what life is all about, sex, relationships, the dark side of human nature (similar to how its portrayed in Goodnight Punpun), you'll for sure enjoy this read, even though its not finished yet.
Edit: It's been a while ever since I wrote this review and at the moment, 129 Chapters are avaliable, so my ratings have changed:
Characters: 8 to a 8.5
Story: 8 to a 8.5
For the people that dont like reading long reviews here you go. The reason this anime is good is simply because quite literally everything is badass, so you know how in Parasyte during half of the manga shinchi stops being a coward and starts being badass? yeah this is like that but from chapter 1 other than that its not short currently 143 chapters and still ongoing so yeah to sum up if you liked Parasyte you will 100% like this and if you never read Parasyte all you need to know is that on this manga the main character is like a badass version of a hero. He cares about killing the bad guys more than he cares about saving the good guys does have some messed up parts (which I like). But yeah the only bad thing for me in this WHOLE show is that the power of the MC kinda looks disgusting but thats just me other than that its almost perfect
This has been quite the ride of a manga. It Ultimately came down to what i thought was kind of a rinse repeat type storyline, which kind of eventually wore down on me. I didnt enjoy reading it once i got to around 120-130 but stayed with it because it was clear the end was near. Pretty much feels like an Alternative Chainsaw Man, but worse.
The Story itself ended up being pretty good to start, but as it went on it just became just "lets just throw this wrench and then try figuring out how to work it out". Its a decent time spender if you are into this kind of Genre.
Art is good, detailed line work and such, since the nature of the story required a lot of organ type and vein structure stuff.
Characters, about average, nothing ground breaking, nothing that makes it stand out. Just an average character bout with a lot of predictability.
