I've Become a True Villainess

I've died and been reincarnated as the villain of a romance novel! In order to avoid the hideous fate that awaits me, I've righted her wrongs and even gotten engaged. I should be home free, but strange things have started happening ever since the heroine appeared. Why won't her fiancé leave me alone?

*Story Spoilers* Novel > Webtoon If you're interested in this summary, I heavily recommend the novel rather than the new webtoon adaption. The webtoon does a horrendous job at playing out every dire/tense situation and even changes how some scenes play out.  The beginning wedding scene is described in the novel as a scarily dangerous situation for Seria. The amount of blood and pain she went through was too much for her to reply to the Duke in the novel, yet she gave some goofy response with like.. 3 drops of blood on her dress in the webtoon. It took Seria a moment to realize why the guests were screaming, but the adaption just shoots us through everything in a matter of seconds. The novel did well in sharing the panic of not only Seria and the guests, but the Duke's slight panic and anger in his  actions of forcing the priests to continue the wedding with him as the pair, instead of Calis. I'd say my favorite part of this novel is the Green Manor recovery, though the garden getting destroyed because of an allergy was annoying lmaoo,  and the funeral party thing Seria has to attend to. Her family is fucked up, even if the og Seria had some issues, herself. We find out that one of her brothers tried to drown her when they were younger, and the Duke was FURIOUS when he finds out about it- doing the same thing to him as he did to Seria. I only found the ending to drag on a bit. It wasn't bad, just slow. I find it interesting that the Saintess isn't necessarily the villain.  She never was played out to be. It was her trying to be like Seria, being a b*tch with remarks sometimes, but was all and all being dragged around by the real problem. Calis doesn't help the situation at all and even accused Seria of doing something awful for a split second.  The one shot art for this series was nicer than the current. Just doesn't fit the vibes I got from the novel.
