This series picks up and dusts off old trope of male lead trying to avoid relationship with girl, who fell in love with him. However, it does in smart way, which doesn’t make him look foolish or unreasonable. It also has decent justification for him to do so. In this case if he gets with the girl, he is to be killed. If he doesn’t the girl is going to be heartbroken, which would lead to earth’s destruction by her mother, powerful daemon lord from another world. The series does have fantasy element in settings, where our world got relatively recently connected with another one scenario. I also like the main girl isn’t too over the top throwing herself constantly at the guy as it was typical for the trope in past. She has good setup to like the main character. He is aware of girl’s affection, but his choice to resolve issue is to avoid the impossible choice at all cost. Art is good. It isn’t mind blowing master piece, but for the story it works well. I would say somewhere between six or seven at peak moments otherwise more of mid series art wise. Main character design is bit wild looking teacher. Daemon princess is designed to be cute. The series shows off some good heart-warming romantic moments. It adds early other characters to make situation more complicated as it’s usual for this type of romcom. Overall, pretty solid take on this kind of trope. It’s been so far enjoyable romcom. I will continue reading it as more volumes are released. This review is written after reading 2 volumes (all existing at the time) equivalent to 10 chapters. Japanese difficulty 5/10 (see my profile for details about various difficulty scores) The series is shounen/seinen. It has both tags on Bookwalker. It does not have furigana. Text volume and density is average. Overall, vocabulary and grammar difficulty are average as well.
