I really can't recommend this manga. There are so many other manga which cover similar plotlines and themes, but do it so much better, that reading this one just seems pointless. I've mentioned in another review that many isekai stories include helping orphanages. Well, this is yet another one of those. It also includes corrupt nobles and greedy merchants, and the idea of gaining trust through shows of strength. The main character Takuma struggles with being too overpowered after being reincarnated into another world. With great power comes great responsibility, but fe can't handle the responsibility, so fe runs away from towns and tries to avoid people as much as possible. But then, of course, feir righteous indignation makes it impossible to sustain feir isolation and fe must again intervene. Every time fe intervenes, something negative happens (Anri gets beaten to a pulp, Howard loses feir arm), and fe blames femself. At first, fe's bothered by the negative rumors about fem, but then fe realizes that these types of rumors will cause people to avoid fem (which theoretically is what fe wants), so fe helps propogate them. Fe has currently had events happen in three cities: Melut, Tooran, and Omar City. None of the storylines are very well designed or compelling. I'd almost wish that they played up the unexpected consequences of having great power even more, like to an absurd degree. Then at least it might have a clear hook. But as it is, it's just kinda bland. As an overpowered main character, ideally Takuma would have an interesting and unique power suite (fe doesn't) as well as having an engaging personality (fe doesn't) and the recurring characters in feir orbit--Verdeu and Weiss--would complement and play off fem well (they don't). Weiss even fails to be a cute mascot. Also, the friendships Takuma develops with Kyle, Howard, and others feel canned. You know how sitcoms have canned laughter? Well this is like canned friendships. The dialogue in general doesn't feel natural at all. It feels stilted, like bad video game dialogue. The only somewhat interesting characters in the whole manga are Meyers and Sid. Everyone else is very unappealing (obviously including Takuma femself). And the art does nothing to offset the manga's failings (and arguably adds another failing to the mix).
