Certainly way better than the shitty anime

It's clear Ray is pretty lucky not to die in every other incident and it's clearly visible he is stronger than other players with the same Level because his job is a high level one.

Hugo is still annoying as shit but he isn't as shallow as in the anime.

Story is still the same isekai or VRMMO Story where a beginner rapidly progresses (mostly through luck, his always pawsitive brother bear and some other guys) - nothing new

If you like this kinda generic game setting (or is it really a game?) then this is certainly worth a read - if you don't like this genre don't even try. This is no masterpiece and doesn't really surprised you (even though the kinda stupid protagonist is always surprised)

Edit after reading volume 7 - first Review after aproximately 3,5 volumes:

The story is getting better but is still pretty much the same old VRMMO story - sometimes with reference to storys like SAO ;)

Main reason i think this is getting better is the absence of the annoying dipshit sisters
