In Fushimi, Kyoto, a jr. high school girl named Inari Fushimi has a crush on a boy, and acts a little foolish in trying to tell him her feelings. In a strange turn of events, Inari is able to change shape to the person she wants to be, and her love story in Kyoto takes many drastic turns for the better and worse!
This manga is an absolute heart warmer. Character development is there and the manga highly adresses all the introduced characters. The romantic plot of the series revolves around the main character Inari, and her school crush, although other romantic connections are introduced later on within the series and boy are they good. This manga is so underrated and even though the ending is also done truly well, I was left with tears of sadness yet joy.
Weeeell, i have to say I loved this manga. From the synopsis, I thought it would be interesting and it lived up to my expections and went above and beyond. The relationship of the main character Inari and Uka meld together to form a tangle of emotions not just between the two of them but also between their friends and family. It was sensitive when it needed to be and also funny and totally engaging. If you like romance not just between the main character but also between multiple people as well, you'd do to pick this up. The story is well written and the drama unfolds beautifully.
This manga from beginning to end was such a cute, funny, and unexpected rollercoaster. If you liked Kamisama Kiss you'll love this. Romance is in the air, drama and handled with strong female characters. Mystery, powers, Japanese culture, and a lots of love to go around. This manga doesn't only focus the romance on just one couple but others as well. Literally almost no character mentioned really gets left behind. The ending was a cry fest it teaches lessons that you don't have to be all powerful for wishes or dreams to come true. Nor do you have to change who you are to appeal to your crush. It's a good read overall and you won't feel bored reading!
