With a dead sister and 25 years to go on her soulmate timer, Anya decides to cryogenically sleep away her problems. Too bad she wakes up to an apocalypse full of them. Now stuck in a burnt out landscape full of killers, Anya must decide which she wants to keep: her heart or her head.
I just love everything about this comic. It's beautiful art, engaging storyline just never disappoints and on top of that to the point music just enhance the enjoyment of every chapter.
I love "In the Bleak Midwinter". I would totally recommend it to the people who love dystopian, supernatural, and sci-fi comics as the setting is in the future, the main character, Anya, has some awesome supernatural ability (I'm not telling due to spoilers), and it has crazy, mind-blowing science and technology involved. Also, if you love romance comics or books, this one is also for you as it has soulmates and opportunities to ship the characters. Most importantly, if you're that one person that loves to make theories while reading (like me), this, as well, is the perfect book for you because you have tons of possibilities to create theories on the characters and plot. The art is absolutely gorgeous and inspirational if you love to draw, along with the writing and enchanting music. The characters have unique looks and intriguing personalities, like delta; honestly, to me, he gives me the creeps. Anyways, I recommend this webtoon/comic 100%. Enjoy your read! And if this story is not for you, then good luck finding another one! Please don't be ashamed if you don't like this comic, it's okay :D. But, don't go around hating it, it gives improper credits to the team of people working hard on the writing and drawing in this comic. HEADS UP/WARNING: You might get addicted to this story and love-hate some characters.
This webtoon has a really addictive and original story. Anya cryogenically sleeps for 1 year but wakes up 25 years and now the androids have taken over the world and human survivors live hidden from these killing machines. There are many twists and turns in the story. Every single character is written well. Even the villains are not just bad guys for the sake of it. They also have good stories and solid reasons for the attrocities they commit. Art is also nice and characters emotions are well portrayed. Give this a try if you want a really good story set in a post apocalyptic environment.
