contains minor spoiler. im writing this review at chapter 4, i know its still way too early to sum things up but i have a bunch of complaints and questions already, first of all its just not logical at all. before i started reading this, i have high expectations based on the summary and art but when i started reading it, it just gets worse. basically a girl got impregnated by a snake via a dream sort of things, and then she went to a doctor bcs she havent gotten her period and the doctor said she is pregnant and based on the ultrasound the doctor said it looks like a snake casually, Like c'mon the reaction was just bad, how can someone casually and clamly says that 'Oh you're pregnant with a snake' without getting scared or shocked as if pregnant with a snake is a normal thing, its already a huge turnoff point for me  Next the pacing in my opinion is going way too fast, ive only read it until chapter 4 and theres so many things going on, dumped into the story all at once making it confusing, i still dont quiet get it about why the snake guy wants to make the girl his wife bcs his fiancee got killed (??) idk its just really confusing, everything does not make sense at all. the female lead is just hilariously ridiculous, kinda dumb imo.   if you like to read a really fast paced story, and does not mind logical expressions and reactions at all then this thing might be a good read for you, but as for now i'll drop this story first.

I'm on chapter 52. I started reading this for the ick factor.  That is, I hate snakes and I think they are creepy. Instead of a romance, I thought I would treat it as a horror manhua. I found that this really isn't icky at all. I was pleasantly surprised about the artwork, and after the first 10 chapters I was hooked. This is really funny. It's also a reverse harem, and the men are very good looking.  I also like that the main CP actually have sex, and there's a little light bondage. The main characters spend most of their time hunting ghosts and performing exorcisms. There's some cultivation stuff that doesn't really make sense, maybe because I am not from that culture. On the plus side, I enjoyed learning about different Chinese ghost stories and legends. There are several questions related to the MC and her family history, and how it relates to the ML. Some of that is slowly explained by piecemeal as the story unfolds. This is based on a novel, and I think the artists left some details out because of lack of space. That's why some parts might be unclear. This manhua isn't meant to be taken seriously. It's got that goofy humor/mystery-solving/supernatural vibe you might find in a Scooby-Doo cartoon-- except all the guys are a lot hotter.
