To save my family from certain doom, I offered to become the Emperor’s secretary in place of my clumsy brother. I excelled at work in my previous life… to the point of overworking myself, but that’s beside the point! I know I got this. I served the tyrant emperor perfectly, down to a T, so now I can quit working and the plot can continue on. But when I asked to resign, he retorted, “Do you want to die?” Your Majesty, you’ve always been disinterested in people, why are you holding me back? Please let me live the rest of my life peacefully!
READ IF: You love otome isekais but you're tired of the same old formula everyone uses You want a unique love story between the FL and the ML You enjoy a somewhat possessive and dense ML A strong and independent FL but within reason and with her own powers Some politics in the plot but not too much In a genre that is quickly being populated with redos and rewrites of the same damn concept, having new and interesting perspectives is a welcome addition. I Became The Secretary of a Tyrant excels in showing us a different type of female lead and new roles for each of the love interests to work around in. The female lead here is realistic and well-rounded, making decisions that show her strengths in her past life and the qualities she acquired in her reincarnated life. She isn't unnecessarily headstrong but rather, works well given where she was placed in her current life. I think that marks her character as unique despite not being an empress or having a position of power. The male lead is another matter altogether. I feel like some people may dislike him, primarily because he's cruel and callous to his retainers and his role in the novel seems dislikeable. But despite that, I wish that you give it a try. They do explain why he acts the way he does and what he does to remedy his behaviour. I actually find him very attractive (oop) and want to see how he deals with his newfound emotions. Excited to read more of this manga when it does update!
I really like the story it's fun and i would recommend you guys to read it too and the thing that i hate is the female lead wannabe (ella)😑 she was a bitch is a bitch and seriously has no plans to change and a horrible mother who doesn't want her kids to be loved by their own father . Except her i love this manhwa😊😊
Honestly i do not like this manhwa at all... first thing that caught my eye is the art. It's not bad, it's just that their faces look weird to me? idk second the plot is nothing special, the hardworking secretary trying not to ignite the tyrants fury and then falls in love with him, and ofc the tyranical emperor ml who is nothing more then a sh*t yes, as you can see, the characters are terible and kinda flat. Secretary is hardworking, oblivious, kinda annoying. The ml as i sad is the tyrant that treats everyone like flies, except the fl which he is obsessed with. He supposedly loves her, but does not care about her fealings at all... like my fave character is the fl's maid...which appeared like two times So, no...I would not recommend this manhwa...but still it's just my personal opinion P. S. - sorry if there are some mistakes, english is not my first language.
