I'm actually really surprised nobody has recommended this yet. Both feature one girl in a lower position pining for one higher, not to mention the similarities of the characters.

Claire and Vel are both royals (R) and Rei/Malori (S) come up to them confessing their love. (S) have loved (R) for a long time and are estastic when they finally get their chances to meet them. The two pairs also come to like eachother in a similar fashion I guess.

I'm not too good at convincing people but just read it because you should.

They are both set in a olden time era where both have a villain/Hero theme couple and try to get around obstacles and situations where they aren't supposed to like each other but finds a way to goes around the system and change what roles people see them as

Of course it's similar. "I'm in love with the villainess" came out first and the author of MATDQ followed suit after that one started gaining traction. The author just repackaged it, basically. Looking at the past works of this author this is the most "creative" she's gotten and that's only because she copied the original story of "I'm in love with the villainess". Frankly speaking I cannot recommend this series. If you don't like penises in your yuri manga don't start with this. The "queen" have a penis.

Both series have our heroes in love with the villainesses who are initially resistant to the advances of the heroes, but eventually fall for them. The leads of both are very enthusiastic in expressing their love. They're also both powerful magic users.

Please Bully Me, Miss Villainess!

Please Bully Me, Miss Villainess!

I, Yvonne, reincarnated into an otome game as the evil noble. Based on all other villainesses ever written, a character like me, hated by every reader, should obviously be focusing on bullying the villainess, leading her into the various romance routes. However, something’s wrong with the female protagonist, Elsa! I-I’ve told you that you’re too close to me. Don’t come any further! Elsa: “Yvonne, Yvonne~ How will you bully me today?”

If you favor the villainess, these two manga are a must for you. I Favor the Villainess is a pretty straightforward otome reincarnation where the protagonist is gonna make a villainess route if it kills her. The anthology is more all over the place with everything from misunderstood to real villainesses you root for anyway.

Both protagonists are in a world based on an Otome Game. They are living as side-characters and want to save the villainess from a bad ending, so they make an effort on getting close to the villainess as much as possible using the information they have of the game. One is a female protagonist while the other is a male protagonist
