The demon in human form. An innocent girl sacrificed. Kazumi Ichinose. 16 years old. high school student. Midou Saki fell in love with him when he was an elementary school student. That was the beginning of hell. Jealousy. Obsession. Pools of Blood. Tears. Death. Common sense, words, nothing makes sense. Misfortune befell those loved by "him". Love starts with blood. This is the beginning.
it may be pretty clunky but its genuinely engaging to read and i do have a soft spot for anime with well executed absolutely batshit insane women and this anime has that for sure. story: the plot besides the shitty timeskips is pretty solid. it can be rushed and kinda weird on occasion but its easy to follow mostly and Midou is very fucking interesting, so her actions and movements leave u glued to the story. the chapters are all about 15 pages so its a pretty quick read. art: its pretty simplistic relatively solid. it serves its purpose some scenes of torture are pretty fucked tho. character design is also simple as well. makes it easier to get into. characters: the main male isnt bad normally theyre relatively pathetic but hes pretty decent. his motives are simple but his courses of action tend to be stupid as fuck. the other characters arent bad nothing special tho. Midou is the best character by far tho, she didnt have a fucked up childhood or anything like that her issues and what she did is COMPLETELY her fault which isnt something u see much. there is no backstory justification of her actions nor an attempt to make you feel sorry for her. she is just extremely selfish and extremely ill pretty nice short read
This is not the genre of manga I typically read but there's something about Saki's love that made me commit to read everything aka 74 chapters. Am I the only one who felt sorry for her and don't give a crap about the other characters especially that spineless Kazumi? Yeah she's bat shit crazy but if you listen closely to her intentions, she's just someone who's drive by love but with a broken moral compass. We can all agree that what she did is evil but we're all are and I would even argue that all sins are equal. We're all vanity under the sun. I really hope in another universe, in the begninng, she was given the mental help she needed. Fudge, I still can't get over the shitty ending like I can't empathize with the happiness of others when Saki ended her life just like that. Sheesh, I felt crying *sobbing!*To those who want to read it, just put a shades that look from the perspective of Saki's love. You'll enjoy it that way and if there's a category for female lead only, she's a 9 out of 10. The others are a 7 hahah and wtf is that ending, them ended up being together isn't justified; Just like Saki said, that's not true love, it's twisted love just like the title of this manga... (Take my words with a grain of salt haha)
