One day, I opened my eyes and found myself in... prison?! That's right. Out of all the characters I could've reincarnated into, I woke up inside a 19+ rated romance novel as the villain's younger sister. To make things even worse, I was locked up inside the infamous Kambrakam Prison for my brother's crimes. Deep within the very same prison lies Henrich Doran von Hel, who's rumored to be suffering from a curse that turns him into a beast. In the original novel, he's supposed to meet the female lead and spend an erotic night with her here in prison... but of course, the plot's gone awry thanks to my existence. What kind of future lies in store for me now that I've gotten myself tangled up between the novel's greatest villain and its male lead?!
I didn't expect this to be a cute manhwa going in, okay? I avoided it for a bit because I thought it was going to be cringey or 'hardcore masculine jerks everywhere' due to the 'og canon' being 'R18' but I was bored so I checked it out. Good decision for me. The 'prison' for the most part is more like a 'noble recreation center' aside from the jumpsuits (lol) because they're all nobles. But the ML is in the dungeon due to his issues and in chains. Go figure. The ML has the mentality of an animal and issues the new FL helps him with and he's basically like a puppy??? Super duper cute. Obviously she has to be careful so he doesn't attack her and won't do anything to her (like domesticating an animal, basically) and that would be cringey if he couldn't come to his senses more and be human in mind as well as body but it's all good. Really, the strong point of this is how cute the ML is. That's it, that's the strong point. So adorable. I have a weakness for blushy-crying bois. Pat. Pat. Though if you like the strong, masculine type- this isn't for you. Home boy gets blushy at hand holding. I can 100% see anyone who is into femdom/petplay eyeing this really hard, it has that sort of vibe. Kinda wanna smack MC for thinking like 'I like handsome men more than pretty boys' like DaM oKI dEn. Still would recommend.
Wow, this story has a really interesting premise. It's very different from all the other isekai style manhwas--which is very much welcomed because I do need something fresh every once in a while XD That being said, I'm enjoying the direction that this story is going in and the pace is good too [Reviewed at Chapter 21]. It's not too rushed and I really do like the development. However, the same can't be really said about the characters. Somehow the FL is a little lacking in the sense that her character isn't built upon very well. I find it odd that she's so dense when dealing with the prison warden and yet so sensitive at times when interacting with the imprisoned ML. The ML, on the other hand, is a bit strange. I wish the backgrounds of the main characters was elaborated on. But it has only been 21 chapters so all in all, the missing info can be tolerated considering the fact that the FL does not know who she is. The author did a good job at constructing a little mystery of this :) The art is great! It's really a shame that the artist was accused of accidental plagiarism and has since discontinued the series. I believe the author announced that they would be finding another artist in the hopes of continuing the publication of the manhwa. I am excited and looking forward to the second introduction of this novel ^-^
Do I like what I've read so far? No, not really. I was promised a prison, in return, I get an enclosed space for the rich. You know what describes this manga better than anything, safe. It feels like any one of the hundreds of average "nobility" manga I've read. But if the series actually concludes I might give it another shot. Who knows it might still get better.
There are no custom lists yet for this series.
