I Dream of Health, Wealth, and a Long Life - Reviews

To be honest, maybe i had too much expectation for this manhwa...

Story :

The main complaint i hv for the story is.. IT SOMEHOW ALWAYS ENDS UP IN THE MC'S FAVOR. And the starting part of the story.. ugh. Totally cinderella knock off, but without fairy godmother. That's not me being sarcatic but it's just the truth. You can see that the plot isn't planned very well just by seeing the MC and ML's first and second encounters. That's way too much of a coincidence.. pls.. at least make it believable. And the revenge part.. imo, it's not that satisfying. The ending for the stepmother is just too sudden too, even tho in 2 or so chapters before the MC was like "oh, well, i'll let her live" but nope, the author just killed the stepmother. Ok this story review might end up being a kind of rant so i'll just end it here. sigh

Art :

The art is the only thing acceptable here... Even tho it's super simple if you compare it w other manhwas.... At least the artist doesnt overuse copy+paste. But what i hate about the art is.. the artist doesnt even bother to edit the pattern on the clothes. And for me personally, that's distracting af. The coloring is too simple too tbh, so myb thats why it doesnt look as beautiful as other manhwa's art, but well.. we can put up with that.

Characters :

Wow.. the characters here are amazing. Literally. They're too amazing that they dont even have a personality. If i can be honest, the only characters that i like are the maid and empress. The maid is your typical faithful maid, but those characters are fun to see. And the empress is the only character that has their own "mind" here imo. As for the mc.. well.. she's te typical "i want to change my destiny" stereotype, but that's that. She's kinda shallow for a main character, and well i did expect as much just by seeing those MLs.... Duke relampago and 2nd prince.. omfg. I wanna cry just by seeing them. Even tho they're supposed to be 2nd and 3rd male lead.. in my eyes they're the same as MC's sister.. a cannon fodder. As for the demon prince (ofc he's the ML, just look at the so-called "chemistry" between him and the MC) wow.. i feel sad for him too but at least his character is not as butchered up as other MLs. What i meant with that is.. at least he kinda(?) has a reason to be interested w the MC. The 3 of them basically has the same problem. Their eyes. Yes. How could you just fall in love w a girl without any reason? Love on first sight? That's such a bs. At least have some reason to like someone bro... And then, the 2nd thing to complaint is.. the use of "i realized i like her after i nearly lost her" trope.. man, the author sure loves overused+cringe tropes. At least the 1st ML is excused of this trope 👏🏻 

Should you read this? I usually say that my reviews should not stop you from reading things i reviewed.. but this manhwa.. wow.. it made a new record.  I'll just say that u should do urself some justice and read other manhwas instead.. the s1 is just.. super duper not worth to read. But maybe my view of this manhwa will change bcs of s2, we'll see. 😐

As of chapter 11 its generic. Nothing really stood to me except for the fact that the main character has dress making skills. That was a cool gimic. The art is meh. The characters are meh, and the story is already boring. The only reason I even read this was cause I was bored and if I ever read it again it'll be fore the same reason.

It's really good so far, but the story isn't far along enough for me to rate it. But I would recommend it to anyone who likes the reincarnation, change their lives kind of story. 

Review:

I like this, the MC is not OP but she is wilfull and knows patience. The waiting game is a must and its kind of realistic. Very good of MC to use her knowledge and gain trump cards but at the same time help her friends avoid a miserable death.

Synopsis:

When Rian woke up, she had memories of her noble death, and memories of her commoner past life. In order to rectify that, she decided to endure again her stepmother and stepsister's beatings, at the same time readying herself to strike them dowm when the time is right. She then makes use of her new personality to gather allies so she could protect her brother's position in the Duchy.

Fl is kinda dumb. She is quite literally spoon-fed information and can't connect the dots, she spouts off seecrets like a water fountain, and is overall a flat character. Love interests are pretty meh, pink haired dude peaked my interest for a bit but other than that I want my time back. I want to take a sledgehammer to the head I'm so frustrated with her lol
