I Became a Legend after My 10 Year-Long Last Stand

With no other options, Luck makes the choice to hold the line against the unending demonic hordes alone, to make sure his comrades can escape with their lives. However, through a combination of fortune, skill, and ingenuity, he holds that line for ten straight years, eventually coming out on top single handedly. Now he has to tackle the dilemma of how to occupy himself in a world where he holds a myriad of roles: that of a legend, that of a veteran, and that of a brand new face.

Chapter one is the set-up for the story. Basically a ridiculous backstory for how an already powerful sorcerer became even more powerful by fighting an endless stream of majin and using feir ability to learn any spells cast on fem. Fe lost track of time and ended up fighting unceasingly for ten years, which is where the "ten years" from the title comes from. After that, fe returns to civilization and decides to restart as an F-Rank adventurer rather than bask in feir now legendary status. Fe enjoys referring to femself as a "veteran F-Rank adventurer." What makes this story interesting is the humor and lighthearted interactions among the characters. The art is also really good and we see a lot of monsters being massacred. All of the antagonists in the plot so far have either been vampires or have had some sort of connection to vampires. The vampires are using things like medallions and sacred beast meat to build up curses. They intend to use the curses to open up interdimensional rifts and call forth dark gods. I'm not actually sure why they want to do this, but hopefully that will be explained better later in the story. For now, we're just meant to enjoy the fight scenes and accept that the vampires are evil. The confrontations lack some intensity considering how powerful our main character and feir old party-mates are. There's also a chicken, Gerberga, that is basically the key to saving the world...which is pretty funny. [Reviewed at chapter 13]
