Ninety years ago, global nuclear war destroyed the Earth, leaving the seeds of hope for the future in the hands of young Amamiku. Now, in the present, Amamiku has awoken from her cryostasis into a strange underwater world. Her mission, as deemed by the holographic images of her long dead parents, is to use the seeds to revive Earth - but it won't be easy. Though a small selection of other humans are alive and willing to help her on her quest, others such as the evil floating brain creature Glyptofane want to prevent Earth's revival at all costs. The fate of the world lies in a young girl, her robotic companion, and a few brave souls; will she succeed?

Only a few bits of land have been spared, and one of those is the city-island where Elfie lives with her grandfather. One day, due to an underwater incident, she discovers that she can breathe underwater. Her grandfather reveals that in truth she is one of the mythical sea-people. Using the cityfolk's xenophobia, local politicans spark a war with this hidden people to distract people from their current resource problems, and Elfie is caught in the middle of it.

In the distant future, man has advanced into space and spread to worlds throughout the galaxy. On one such planet, Jerra, a brutal war began between the Jerran army and the Nexram - those who opposed a galactic Earth government. To combat the threat the Jerran army created the MDS - Most Dangerous Soldiers - who possess elite fighting abilities. However, one such soldier, MD Geist, was deemed too ferocious and imprisoned inside an orbiting satellite. Now, in the present, both sides have been decimated and the planet lies in ruins. After his satellite falls to the planet, MD Geist wanders the wasteland once more. And after killing the leader of a powerful gang, Geist finds himself in the company of a woman named Vaiya. Together, the two join with survivors of the Jerran army and set forth on a quest to exterminate Death Force - a doomsday device built by the Jerrans - before it activates.

Brothers Kakugo and Harara Hagakure not only possess the skills, they also harbor the power of the Zero Armor containing the souls of thousands of warriors. Separated from his brother, Kakugo roams the land fighting in order to restore some sort of peace and safety to mankind. However, he finds these monstrosities to be merely pawns to a much larger adversary from his past, who may prove to be his most dangerous opponent of all.
