Both manga share a similar sense of humor. In both stories the MC try to keep their personal lives secret from their piers.

Mu254 Mu254 says...

Although the age group and setting is very different, the style of story telling and the unique characters are both humerous and similar.

cschuma cschuma says...

These manga both focus more on the everyday goings-on of a relationship. Instead of lots of buildup and drama (which can be fun int he right mood!), these two series focus on more tender, silly, or totally average moments of two people in love.

blue1r1s blue1r1s says...

The fact that the characters are not what they seem at first glance and need to hide it from the world to some extent make both manga feel really similar.

yangry yangry says...

Very cute slice of life, realistic and frames multiple moments of sweet domesticity in all couples. The most enjoyable part of these stories is the relationships between the characters and themselves, which can be seen as generally boring by most, but they're down to earth and have stories and characters that stick with you.

L♥DK

Aoi Nishimori is a high school girl who lives alone in her own apartment, but to her surprise, she discovers that the prince of her school, Shusei Kugayama, has moved in next door! The two aren't exactly the same but that would be boring right? Both are cute and funny, with good stories and characters that are pretty similar. The main characters are a bit different but in both stories they go from being really good friends to that awkward stage of "Are we just friends?" Both of the men are slightly invasive and both of the women are slightly naive...which means fun times for all! If you like one I bet you'll like the other...but the bet would be pretty small, just in case.

Honestly both mangas were so amazing I am a big manga reader i read manga everyday and if i dont read it that day all that goes threw my head is when can i read it.anyways both are stunning L-DK though has a diffrent art style it may seem weird at first but then it after a couple chapters you dont even notice its a reall  good story.

FullmetalDragon FullmetalDragon says...

Both are shoujo romances featuring 'opposites' who are initially cautious of each other but become like family in the end. Also some of the only shoujo romances that don't shy away from sex! (although obviously they don't show anything explicit) Good reads

blahblahblob blahblahblob says...

Theyre both really sweet and make you feel satisfied. However, the first part of L-DK is kinda bad so the part after and horimiya are similar.

Rainbow Days

Rainbow Days

These four friends couldn’t be more different: Natsuki Hashiba, a dreamer who longs for love, Tomoya Matsunaga, a self-centered playboy, Keiichi Katakura, a winsome guy with a hidden saucy streak, and Tsuyoshi Naoe, a socially awkward nerd who loves anime, manga, and games. Together their high school days are as vibrant as rainbows!

Both are light-hearted, comedic, school-lifes with funny/interesting characters and a romantic plot/subplot. Both manga deal with slightly more serious topics at times, but overall are pretty light-hearted and funny.

miitskiism miitskiism says...

They're both very lighthearted and sweet. The kind of manga you read to laugh or to simply smile.

hollywillow hollywillow says...

the boys relationship (not just the MLs but with the sport club guys too) vibes really reminds me of the guys in Horimiya.

As they said in the other comments, both are dealing the same topics of youth, romance and friendship. Moreover, both are comedy and have charming characters, which can make you smile when you didn't expected it.

Kirisuna Kirisuna says...

The two are quite similar in some ways. The two main characters of Switch Girl are Arata and Nika. Horimiya's main characters are Miyamura and Hori. Both stories involve a girl and boy who behave one way at school and another at home.

The two guys Arata and Miyamura both dress like otakus/nerds in school so as not to draw attention to themselves and Hori & Nika have a popular, pretty girl façade in school but are really not too bothered with appearance at home. Both are also scarily obsessed with sales at their local supermarkets.

Switch Girl is more adult than Horimiya, but this is used in a humourous manner. Both have amazing jokes and can be rather extreme XD

If you like one you will definitely like the other, particularly if you like the pairing between couples in whichever one you have read. <3

phoenixaurora phoenixaurora says...

Horimiya and Switch Girl!! have very similar premises.  A girl who doesn't care much about her looks at home has a reputation as a pretty, popular girl at school.  A boy who is seen as an antisocial otaku with thick glasses at school is actually an attractive guy who dislikes drawing attention to himself.  Both series are great romantic comedies about the different sides of people at school and at home.

Ilsa Ilsa says...

Isn't it nice to read two different mangas with so nice and good, loving relationship between characters? For everyone who hate bad boyfriends, and stupid, naive girls who are just smacked around. READ THIS TWO MANGAS RIGHT AWAY!

In both manga, the female protagonist is highly admired by most of the boys in her class - to which she is mostly unaffected by in both. (Surien from HC was actually affected in her past, but now she pretends not to notice the attention she receives.) The stories are quiet and slow-paced, and both the male leads wear glasses! All four of the characters are slow to realize their feelings for their counterparts as well.

FlareSenite FlareSenite says...

I think these Mangas are similar because, they are both pretty chill manga. They both are about two main characters falling in love and later being in love with one another. Both have side characters that are couples or becoming couples throughout the volumes.

Despite her money and her beautiful apartment, Kei can't help feeling that there's a certain loneliness about the cute teenage girl. They both have a simmilar type of feel. The stories are quite different, but they are both romances. Billionaire Girl was faster paced because of it's length.

The athmosfere feels more romantic in Horimiya than the more humorous Genkkan Shoujo but the sort of male-female role reveversal in both manga make it for a very good bit of fun!

As far as comedy goes these manga are definitely similar. Also, they both feature a romance between someone popular  and someone who is a loner, with little or no friends.

FallingIntoAutumn FallingIntoAutumn says...

They both give off a very similar comedic feel.  The main characters are also similar but not so much that you constantly compare them to each other. If you like one story your pretty likely to like the other.
