To say that Hosang's luck with women throughout his life had been underwhelming would be an understatement. That all changes when he gets electrocuted by an electric mat that he bought from his old college friend Gahee. Armed with a newfound ability, Hosang embarks on a life that he had never even dreamed of...
You're a nerd, you don't have many friends and, of course, you don't have a girlfriend. Also a random girl at the metro calls you disgusting just because you were looking at her, you really feel terrible about yourself. What do you do? Obviously you buy some useless stuff from a female old acquaintance of yours because you think of her as a friend when she only scammed you to sell more. What do you do then? At least try the shit you bought. OH NO! You get electrocuted by the massage machine! At least you didn't get hurt.. but you feel weird. Not only there's steam coming off your penis, but people act strangely when you touch them?! What the hell happened to you! Plus/minus considerations: STORY: let's go ahead and say that this is up to today the best erotic manhwa I've read so far (close to Stand Up! and Drug Candy). The story, as you could tell by my preview, is so dumb that actually makes it funny and entertaining. I won't tell you what happened when the MC got electrocuted, but it definitely is a brilliant excuse to have him have sex with many girls and please all Lezhin's faptastic readers. Also let's not forget that this manhwa has a background story. Yes, there's a lot of fanservice up to the first half of it, but do you really think I'm going to sit here and complain? You silly. The ending doesn't reeeeeeally make a lot of sense in reality, but we'll forgive our great author and bless him, knowing he's been really sick towards the ending of this project. (++) ART: beautiful. If you know Lezhin, you know how high they elevate their standards and I love that. But this? This erotic manhwa has the best one I've seen so far, especially towards the ending. There's a constant improvement the artist has made and you can only appreciate that. I cannot wait for his next project. (+++) CHARACTERS: not much to say, I like all of them. I'm not fond of them, but I like them all. They all do their jobs, they fit fine inside the story and there isn't a single one that ruins the mood or kills the plot. Well done. (++) I just want to add that the decisive scene towards the ending reminded me a lot of Ichi the Killer for obvious reasons (if you like reading sick stuff, read that right now 'cause it's a classic). I'm really going to miss He Does a Body Good because, as I already said, this one is my favorite erotic manhwa so far. Not only the story is absurdly funny and entertaining, but the art style is pleasing (them bodies, sheesh!). It definitely was a great time and a great run. Also the author was getting sicker and sicker the last 3-4 months, so I wish him the best and a great recovery, hoping for an even better manhwa next time.
So it's actually really embarressing to admit you're reading this because it's almost a full out hentai manga series and the only reason it's not is because it's you know... blocked from sight but otherwise there's no doubt in anyone's mind what is happening with the characters. hehee. So I found this manga while I was having my "alone time" so I was literally asking for it XD but instead of flipping through all the main story line and getting to the good stuff I actually- for the first time ever- read it from page one and on. The story is about this nerdy shy guy who really wants a girlfriend, in the first couple chapters his old college friend wants to hang out and while the dream *wink wink* he had about her is amazing it was kind of a let down afterwards when he does just wind up buying a bunch of shit like he predicted. When he went home he gets electricuted and now sends amazing sensations throughout peoples bodies. You can see how this can be a gift and a curse right. Bumping into a beautiful model and having the time of your life or on the flip side a person they're completely not attracted to touches them and they have to deal with that... so yeah gift and curse. While the situation certainly is a possible dream come true the story is actually really simple when it comes to it's basic plot line which actually isn't to get laid by every girl in the world (at least not through chapters 1-8). However, sometimes the situation can be a bit confusing at times- like did that really happen or was it a dream? The art in this manga is absolutely beautiful it's all colored and drawn very well it's clear the artist took a lot of time into the work. Downfalls with it though is there is a lot of white space (white space is when nothing fills the gap). And the characters are seen repeatively wearing the same clothes on obviously different days. The characters so far on chapter 8 have a lot left to go but right now there are 37 chapters or so plenty of room for the development. But I can only hope the main character lives to be up to the title: Sweet Guy. Luckily you'll know if this series is for you within the first five pages easily. ;D
This is hands-down the best "Borderline H" work I've read. A wonderfully crafted look into the life of a low-end store clerk who's so unbearably dorky that he can't even get a girlfriend, but one day ends up with an incredible power that changes his life. Story: Beautiful narrative that flows seamlessly with the art and content of the work. Some "Borderline H" series just kind of ham-fist a story in as an excuse to string their scenes together, but this one feels very natural and doesn't feel jarring at all. It's got emotional motive, believable plot events, and logical progression of events. Nothing feels like the author is trying to trick the reader, and everything is clear as to what is happening, where, when, and with whom. Art: Absolutely gorgeous. I can't think of anything that would have made the art better for this work. Beautiful, rich colors, and all of the detail you could ever hope for in both the background settings as well as the characters themselves. Action is detailed, but clear, and calm scenes still carry weight and visual impact. There's even some really cool color effect details that are subtle but provide a great sense of context to the circumstance based on the color the artist chose Characters: A great cast of beleivable main characters who have distinct personalities, likes, and motives. Individually the main characters all feel very well developed with a wide range of behavior and emotion, and overall the cast feels very deep as well, with characters who have an obvious niche and prominent character trait without being defined by those traits. The side characters are the only weak-point - I guess the point of their behavior was to illustrate the sheer power of the MC's ability, but even considering that there were some pretty obvious liberties taken to fling women and/or conflict in the MC's way. Overall: One of the better reads you'll find, and certainly the best I've found in its genre. It has enough length to let the story mature and develop, but doesn't overstay its welcome. Nothing feels rushed or stunted, nor does it ever feel like it drags on. It will capture you and keep you scrolling until the very end, and you'll be satisfied with what you find there.
