This manga makes me feel stupid I can hardly understand what's going on at times, the political affairs especially. Art looks bloody amazing I just can't take in the info dump at the very beginning, and the timeline jump also. One moment Douman is bathing with Suikei, the next Suikei couldn't remember Douman at all AND AFTER THAT it's a straight dive into their past.  I'll just tell parts my dumb brain can comprehend here: These people see twins as an ill omen hence when emperor Sanjou's twin sons were born, one was taken away to act as the "Katashiro" of the other, like a living shell to bear the curses & burdens of the other lucky fucker. The lucky fucker who gets to be crown prince is Atsuakira whilst the unlucky one Suikei is sent away to Mount Kouya where he lives his life as a cursebearing priest. From my understanding Douman the so-called demon is on a journey to find Suikei who rescued and raised him. They're kinda bound by blood & soul & a curse all that shit.  The opposing left minister of the imperial court is also in collusion with this "Onmyouji" group where Seimei & his demon minion go out and about to stop Douman. I like the concept overall the story could be fleshed out better if there were more chapters, I just get confused by the laws in this world hope I'm not the only one otherwise I really am hopelessly dumb.  Douman also looks like adult Ichigo on steroids btw.
