This is a short manga with a so-so story that will hardly hold your attention. The story is quite confusing from the beginning and continues to get more and more confusing without ever becoming interesting. When everything is finally explained and makes sense it becomes even less interesting. Furthermore, the author constantly purposely interrupts the characters when they are explaining key parts of the plot in order to artificially extend the story and creating an aura of mystery. Much of the confusion is due to the way the author lays out the panels, which is extremely simple, throughout the story you will see basically the same three panels (a tall rectangle and two squares on the side) on every page. In all the manga I've read so far, the panels are not fixed and they mold to the story, in this manga, except for a few panels here and there, every layout is the same, greatly reducing the story's attractiveness. Notwithstanding this problem, the author repeats the same close-up shot of the characters ad infinitum on practically every page, on some pages even more than once with only a small change. The art itself is fine, but these aforementioned issues really mar the work. The characters are not interesting and the dialogues are very corny. All in all, I would recommend this manga because YOU might like it and all the above issues might not be as important to you or you might not even notice them and get to enjoy the story in a way that I could not.

One of my favorite manga of all time. The artwork is definitely dated in comparison to a lot recent manga, and Tagami's stylism inherent in the character designs is definitely an acquired taste. Having said that, this manga boasts some absolutely outlandish and wildly creative mecha designs that're sure to delight even the most casual mecha fan, with a top notch story and characterization to boot. Check it out!
