This manhwa is amazing. It is totally one of those stories where a gamer picks a lame profession in the game, but he then turns out to be totally OP and badass. Our MC has an eating disorder causing him to be deathly obese, so he turns to VR where he can have the taste and sensation of eating without any of the calories (tbh wish that was real). Everyone laughs at him because food dictates how he plays the game, but he ends up becoming super strong and unlocking all these rare quests and skills. Our MC is wholesome, the art style is amazing and the story is funny, what more could you ask for? I recommend this to people who like The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor or Toaru Ossan no VRMMO Katsudouki.

There's food and it's funny. Don't see how you could not love it. I guess those people who love action don't like it, but I'm not a big fan of action and this is amazing. Perfect for someone like me who mostly enjoys food and games. I also think the story is unique. It's not often that you see one of these mcs playing a game for reasons other than money and fun. Well it's possible that I just haven't read enough similar stories to tell. The art makes the food look really good and good food is the main factor of any good art. The main character and the npcs are awesome and that's all that really matters. Great story imo.

“Level Up, by Only Eating” Is misleading.  Homie’s dieting by eating in the virtual world and he’s willing to do anything to get the food he wants which has a ‘side-effect’ of making him stronger and richer.  Also, he’s basically a pro gamer and isn’t even new to games or anything, it’s just that he started this one because you can taste the food in it.

Honestly, it’s not that interesting, and the original aspects aren’t enough to carry it for very long.  I lost interest around chapter 5 but stuck around a bit and no, it didn’t get any better… it went all backstory romance on some NPCs and meandered aimlessly and (annoyingly) added a sudden ‘super attractive irl but hiding it in game’ fellow foodie girl who is 100% meant to be his future love interest.  Just another VRMMORPG webtoon, and not even a compelling one.  Average, I guess.  It’s not like I hated it, it was just boring.

This story is pretty much a like or don't like. It's very leisurely and pretty much can count as a a slice of life up to around chapter 20 something. There things start becoming a bit more interesting with more carachters and a new subplot. I personally like this kind of story but there are many that get bored of it quickly so try to read it before you decide if it's good or not. The art is amazing and I also love the concept of someone trying to lose weight but not managing to do so quickly like in other novels, it is something I can relate to hahaha.

The only thing I wish it had more of is the in depth of the characters, but that is to be expected as it's only 26 chapters published.

Well, I'm too lazy to do summary but it's a good manga. The MC is hilarious cus all he cares about is eating (I totally would do the same thing), the art's good (better than average) and the story's so far is interesting so definitly suggest to read this.
