Goodbye, No Sex Life

My first sex after a five year blank felt so good... Breathtaking kisses, big hands taking my undies off. We devoured each other again and again.

My expectations for this series was incredibly low. Thankfully, I was pleasantly surprised that the trope was not typical and it was relatable. Many adult smut comics just jump to meaningless sex and a shoddy plot, but Goodbye had meat behind it. Without spoilers, an office lady meets a hot dude who is a 'cold fish' supposed Salary Man playboy. After she tells him off, they get into a heated argument, have passionate sex and part ways, both relieving their sexual dryspells. Only to end up working together a few days later. So before one rolls their eyes and goes to the next manga, I'd like to pause here. This series is extremely good..why? Well, despite the 'Smut' tag, it's realistic if you are a working single woman over 30. Working women do have a hard time allowing themselves to be vulnerable, especially after a long relationship that ended poorly. And even supposed 'Hot Dudes Who Have It All' really don't. Said dudes lack communication skills to be upfront with their emotions and express their needs due to the pain of rejection and their past struggles. You see multiple men compete with each other, have insecurities, give straight up advice: 'Why would an exboyfriend meet an ex girlfriend unless it's for a chance to have sex again?' [Not wrong in the slightest]. The art was 'meh' and the some of the sex scenes were kinda corny, but it's a manga and that's how it will be, yet the theme for this series is adult. Sex can ruin things at times, but at times it is needed to break down the walls of two gaurded, jaded people who forgot what honesty to themselves and each other means. This is not a read for someone who is under 25. I'm not being an old fogey, but you will have to have a certain level of life experience to understand the fear of falling in love again and the consequences it can bring.
