God of Bath

Heo Sae is a 23-year-old young man. He graduated from a junior college with a degree in design, but he couldn't find a job. He finally borrowed money from a loan shark and could not pay back his debt. Heo Sae is then chased by the loan shark who wants to put him on a deep-sea fishing vessel. At that moment, he sees a hot spring theme park named "Geumjatang." To hide from the loan shark he goes into "Geumjatang." There, he meets an old man known as President. The President pays Heo Sae's debt and forces him to work as a scrubber at the bathhouse.

This is such a beautiful story about chasing your dreams no matter what society thinks about it. It's got such funny situations. The character development felt very natural. Really enjoyable story.

One of my favorite manhwas. God of Bath is really funny. The art is awesome too!

My reaction reading the first chapter: wtf did I just read? That was the weirdest thing I've ever read. My reaction reading the last chapter: That was good. So weird...but good. I loved the author's other works that I've read so far, Taste of Illness and Annarasumanara, so this was not at all what I was expecting from him. Those both made me cry, especially Taste of Illness, so I experienced a bit of whiplash going into this one. It's still a great story and message, but in comedy. Not even just comedy, this was crack. Honestly, I probably should rate this higher because the story was great, the message of pursuing your dreams regardless of what others think was well done, and the character development was good....but I'm really not a fan of just straight up comedy. I'm a bit of a stick in the mud I guess and prefer it to be sprinkled in to my series, but I realize that a lot of people will probably find this hilarious and enjoy that. It's a short read and it's free on Webtoon so you've got nothing to lose to check it out!
