Sachio Kurumizawa is an omega mouse manga artist, and Ukano, the alpha fox, is his editor... but Sachio can't help but feel uncomfortable around Ukano. He always seems to look at Sachio with predatory eyes. One night, Sachio goes into heat at an omega-only bar, and Ukano saves him. Unfortunately, Sachio has no idea how long he'll stay in heat... and then, Ukano offers to help him stop it. Will Sachio say yes to getting between the sheets with Ukano despite his terror of being devoured...!?

This manga is soooooo good. I love the way the characters' animal characteristics/species elevates the ABO dynamic between them. Omegaverse stuff is fun, but adding in the literal predator/prey dynamic just ups the stakes a bit, in terms of the complicated relationship and forbidden love elements in their relationship. There are a lot of Omegaverse BL out there, and a lot of Animal Characteristic BL as well, and even a decent amount that have both, but this is by far the best I've read that really takes advantage of both tropes on their own and how they combine with each other. The overarching conflict of the mouse omega fearing that the fox alpha wants to eat him is really enjoyable to read, especially as the fear of being eaten starts to mingle with his developing desire for the fox, creating a masochistic sort of deal, with the mouse being aroused by his own fear and feeling that even if he did get eaten, it would feel good. A lot of romance manga with a sexual element tends to use 'eating' as a euphemism for sex, especially when there's a predator/prey dynamic going on, but they usually make it clear that the eating aspect ends at sex and never go beyond that. So having a story where the lines between "eating" and eating are blurred makes it a lot more spicy and interesting I think. The mouse overcoming his fear of the fox because of love for him, and also embracing it to some extent to heighten his pleasure, is really good and just feels refreshing for this sort of genre, while also just feeling like a natural conclusion.
