Winning a game of Mahjong is hard; getting the same score every time is practically impossible. So imagine the surprise of the school Mahjong club when Saki Miyanaga walks in and does just that. Despite her dislike for the game, her talent is obvious and it's up to the club members - the top-heavy Nodoka, the energetic Yuuki, the cunning Mako and the permanently in control club president Hisa - to persuade her to join the club and help them reach the Nationals. But even then, will their combined skills be enough to overturn some of the toughest high school players the country has to offer?

In the year 1947, the people of Shinjuku are down on their luck. With little money to buy food or necessities, some resort to gambling in order to survive. The Mahjong parlors are where the traveling Tetsuya chooses to spend his time, wiping the floor clean with his adversaries. However, once Tetsuya meets the intensely-skilled Boushu-san, he discovers that his own skills are lacking, and from now on Mahjong will never be the same! Does Tetsuya have what it takes to become a legendary gambler?

Mudazumo Naki Kaikaku

In the name of keeping global peace, politicians have come up with a new method of sorting out disputes: they meet in locations across the world and wager on a game of Mahjong. Koizumi is the former Prime Minister of Japan’s Cabinet who is not only a Mahjong master, but won't let anything stop him from attending a game – not even three bullets to the chest from hired hitmen! No matter what obstacles appear in his path, be they alien-controlled ministers, weapons of mass destruction hurtling towards Tokyo, or the resurrected form of Chairman Mao, Koizumi will play his best hand, down to the very last tile.
