Ghost Theater is a story about a child actress who loses her expressions. she goes to a ghost theater and performs and only then is she able to express any type of expression. Rahee then decides to join the ghost theater to try and get her expressions back.
the story was clear it had a good beginning middle and end. the only problem i see is that the story didnt feel like it was leading to anything in the middle. it almost felt like a normal job and she wasnt aiming for anything by the end. its only made clear that there was some development later when she is bedridden for a few days as a result of an incident. the end was an amazing wrap up and was a good way to showcase each characters morals. it did end happy as a result with a slight feeling of bittersweet.
the art style was good but not the best, it did however fit well with the story which is the main thing when it comes to art style. the simplicity in characters facial expression and the lack of detail made the plot the main focus. the art style helped give elements of magic and fantasy to the overall story.
this webtoon plays around with the idea of an afterlife and with the idea of atonement. ghosts entered the theater for one purpose to leave their regrets behind. the concept was really fascinating since it tried to look at all walks of life which it was able to do even with only 51 chapters. in those 51 chapters it explored not only the ghosts stories but also the main characters lives and how they were all interconnected.
it really raised the question: do we meet people by chance or is it fate that guides people towards each other?
A pretty striking Webtoon which is about a popular actress Rahee, who survived a horrific accident by Truck-kun which killed her parents and she is stuck with having a “stone face”as a curse. She then bumps into a “ghost” theatre where she meets a blond pretty boy Caron and smart lad named Paddy (waheey up us Irish xD ☘️)
BTW yall should check out Pokerface by E.ann, it’s so brilliant!
