They both give off the same spooky vibe and like Naru the maine character hunts "Allegorys" although (Hanako and the Terror of Allegory) is more suited for an older group of readers it has comedy and (Hanako and the Terrorr of Allegory) doest have "Ghost" it has what’s called "Allegorys" witch is very similar to “ghost” not much of a deference really
These series are extremely similar in many ways, as well as very different. While Gost Hunt deals with regular ghosts, Hanako is about urban legends.
They both have that lovely creepiness that makes them worth reading.

The female lead character, like Mai, is level-headed, smart, stubborn, and has a knack for getting into trouble.
