"Woah," Yamagida yells out in surprise at the jump-scare moments. "Ah," fe says while flinching back in disgust. The horror isn't very horrifying and mainly relies on some creepy imagery (rotting and disfigured flesh) to try to evoke some reactions. That said, I think this manga is moreso trying to be a comedy than a horror. And the humor is...okay, I guess. Well actualy, if I'm being honest, the humor isn't all that funny either. It feels kinda stitled and forced and doesn't flow very naturally. It's sorta absurdist and weird and obviously dark (what with all the corpse imagery). The only panel that even came close to bringing a smile to my face was the one when we first saw the smoking man with feir mouth overloaded with cigarettes. But even that moment just kinda peetered out and didn't lead a satisfyingly funny scenario. There is also an overarching joke where the mundanity of apartment management is juxtaposed with creepy imagery and a joke based on manga artists working themselves to death but presented literally instead of idiomatically. Others might find the humor more satisfying than I did.
