The male protagonists in D.N Angel and Full Metal Panic have a similar personality, being extraordinarily different from the people around them while still trying to live a normal life and fit in. The action is what keeps both of these stories going while mixing some romance in too.

Code Geass and Full Metal Panic! Are about high school aged students that get caught up in a military type of situation. With lots of intense battle scenes and giant robot fights these two series are perfect.

Both Full Metal Panic! and Wild School feature a mercenary trying to blend into a school environment. Characters genders are reversed in those two series. FMP! has a male mercenary and Wild School has a female one. The stories themselves are not really alike, but if you think the thing I stated in the first sentence is interesting, then you should give both of those a go.
