Mail

Mail

Private detective Reiji Akiba has a theory about those awkward moments and weird coincidences we all encounter in life. They are actually encounters with the dead; their way of sending us a message. But you may not want to open such strange mail from beyond - not unless you can see the ghostly attachment, like Akiba can. And not unless you carry a gun that can kill what isn't alive, like Akiba's aptly named Kagutsuchi, "the tool between God and earth"... digging a divine grave to lay to rest the evil dead.

The main thing that I found similar about both of these is that they were both scary in the same way. The ghosts in both mangas were similar. Also, in both, each chapter is it's own seperate horror story with new characters. Mail is Fuan no Tane, but with longer stories and a single recurring character.

Both these manga are collections of horror stories that will try their best to make of you feel uncomfortable an anxy. Keep in mind that Fuan no Tane has very short stories with some of them being urban legends from the '80s, '90s and '00s.

Both are horror anthologies with bite-sized chapters, focusing on mundane locations and scenarios gone horribly wrong. They're both by the same author, so the writing and art are of the same high quality. Fuan no Tane is largely unrelated stories grouped together by a vague theme, while PTSD Radio hints at an overarching plot.

If you like horror manga, short horror stories, or Japanese horror, both are recommended readings. Both contain small horror stories of one chapter, or no more than two, long; that feel like rumors, urban legends told in whispers, perhaps under the light of a candle or a campfire...

Gakuen Densetsu: Hasami Onna

There's an urban legend about a girl ("Yomi-san") who hated her appearance and killed herself, and whose father stuffed her corpse. Supposedly, her taxidermied corpse attacks beautiful girls to steal their body parts. When pretty girls are injured at school, some people blame a jealous pretty student, but could it really be Yomi-san?
