"If nobody notices that you are a girl until we graduate, I will give you a billion won." "I'm in." The bet was on. Will Shiru be able to hide her identity until she graduates?!
Your typical high school gender bend flick I guess, except the MC is manlier than the men around her, which is admirable, especially how she mans up to the bully biatch and the white-haired dude. She's close to being the perfect gender bend MC besides the time when she told Sanghoo that "that's just how their relationship is, it's all based on a bet"... couldn't remember that line clearly but dammit GURL, what a way to tell your childhood friend this hastily made-up bullcrap. You dun say that shit in front of your longtime friend, let alone a friend who's crushing on you, you just DONT. There were moments that are quite adorbs, cheesy yet adorbs, the blonde guy friend is the best third wheeler/bud id say, since the other two friends are busy receiving the herd affection stemmed from good looks-skewed mentality. Also I'd choose Shiru over Haruhi (Ouran) any day, they're both still kinda dense when it comes to ahem love but Shiru has a feared mammoth that Haru-Chan would never dream of getting. Oh one more, I see the trend of manhwas portraying weebs or kids who like to draw anime as outcasts, and that they get bullied from it, I dun completely disagree on that one coz... I used to make fun (just teasing) of my friend for liking anime and look what I'm doing now.
MAAANNN I LOVE THIS MANHWHA (no spoiler review!) this was a short read and i bet you can finish it in less than two hours and still feel super satisfied. everything about this manhwa is perfect. although the art is pretty generic, the story and characters make it stand out. you fall in love with the mc because of how badass she is, and as well with the other characters and their friendships with each other. of course, the only annoying person in this comic is the antagonist, which is only natural. you even get glimpses of romance (for those who can't survive reading things without romance.. dw.. same~). they portrayed the way bullying takes a toll on a person who experiences it pretty well, and i can say that because i've related to one of the characters (kyungtae). and holy crap the last panel is so fuc king wholesome. (you get a s.hit ton of wholesome scenes in this manhwa, and they're not the type to make you cringe i swear). i highly recommend this manhwa.. it's probably one of my favs now. i was skeptical at first because i'm used to reading repetitive and cliche manhwas, but this one really stood out and proved me wrong. the storyline is amazing, the personalities of each character are wonderful, and the friendship between them is the fuc.king best.
This manhwa is *chef's kiss* I can't explain how much I love it. Story: So basically, Shiru is a girl who gets mistaken as a boy a lot due to her hair, appearance, and personality. One day, her friend(s) made a bet with her to pretend to be a boy until they graduate and yadda yadda things happen, and boom blurb! To be honest, the plot is pretty decent and for the most part, it's totally not a shaky plot, it's not the most unique and amazing plot but I can say that it's pretty good at exceeding people's expectations. The character development is steady and just... WOW Art: I can't really say the art is my cup of tea but it's pretty good, as the story progresses so does the art. It's really charming as well, the way things are drawn seems pretty simple but unique, it's really refreshing seeing something as good as this. Characters: How do I say this? The characters are SUPER amazing, their personalities and appearance fit so well with the... concept I guess? I don't know how to call it lol. As I've mentioned before, the character development is slow but steady, they compliment the plot perfectly and I love how relatable they are because for me if I see something I can relate to, I'd totally love them. So in conclusion, this manhwa is pretty damn good (cursing aside) and I would recommend it to EVERYONE I know even if they aren't interested in manhwas and shenanigans like this. So uhh quick side note. I really want friends like Shiru and her gang like dude! I love them. That's also one of the reasons why YOU should read this
